Friday, June 12th, Attorney, Candice Joy talks about an annual estate plan review.
If you have already gone to see an attorney, signed them and brought them home and then never looked at them again, it might be time to review.
Period reviews are important. Looking at your agents and beneficiaries is most important. If you have young children, guardians should be paid attention to as well.
Make sure you know where your documents are and making sure your first agent also knows where they are.
Go through account statements added to the back of your book and update them if your accounts are no longer active or if you opened anything new since then, make sure to add it.
Also make sure your funding and beneficiary designations are up to date and complete. If you opened any new accounts, make sure they were opened in the name of the Trust and not yourself.
