AI makes deep fakes by using AI generated names, voices etc to impersonate law firms by encouraging clients to go to fake websites, make payments and event setup appointments.
This has happened in immigration law since fees are often collected upfront. Make sure you check people out ahead of time. Maybe drive by their business or look at the payment processing companies they use. The use of paypal or venmo could be a scam.
Just be aware when looking online for an attorney.
