Paula’s good friend’s mother passed away recently. She was one of Paula’s favorite person as they developed their own friendship over the years.
The process of end of life decisions is something Paula is well aware of and so she can take for granted how that might be more aloof for others.
Paula’s friend had all of her documents prepared and ready ahead of time so from a document standpoint, she was prepared. This also makes it easier to make decisions on behalf of your loved one.
Many want to be at home when they are passing, which is not always possibly with an intervening medical event. Such as was the case for Paula’s friend who stayed home until 10 days before passing.
It’s important to advocate for your loved ones and find your team/partners that will set you up with the best plan for those final moments.
