Friday, September 26th, Attorney, Paula Mattson-Sarli discusses elder law.

We address various aspects of elder law in our office. We help with VA benefits and Medicaid crisis planning and gifting strategies.

Often we need to differentiate between crisis planning and advance planning techniques.

Crisis planning usually comes into play when someone needs benefits immediately and there isn’t time to make a plan for the 5 year lookback.

Advance planning techniques can include irrevocable trusts, gifting strategies and assume we have 5 years to plan.

We are happy to be a resource for these types of planning.
