FAQ Friday: Trust Revocation

On Friday, June 27, 2025, Attorney, Candice Joy talks about Trust Revocation.

The question being discussed is “can you revoke a revocable living trust if you aren’t physically present in the state it was made in”?

The short answer is yes, you can sign revocation documents in another state. However, the longer question is do you even need to revoke your trust?

Your trust should operate just fine if you move. However, if the laws in the state you moved to are more favorable for a different type of planning, then making a change makes sense.
