FAQ Friday: Initial Meetings

On Friday, July 4, 2025, Attorney Steven M. Berger discussed why we charge for initial meetings.

Our office is closed July 4th and July 7th to celebrate our Nation’s birth.

We charge a meeting fee for our initial meetings because we want to bring in clients that are interested and ready to move forward with their estate planning.

This is so we can recoup costs for setting up your appointment, reviewing forms and existing documents. Our attorneys add value by assessing your situation and providing guidance on your best next steps.

We have tried various other options instead of a paid initial meeting, such as an initial phone call or meeting with a staff member instead, but none seemed to be what was best and most efficient for our customer.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with clients serious about this next step in their planning.
